6. Hill Walk - Ben Lettery



Ben Lettery is one of the famous 12 Bens mountains of Connemara and part of possibly the best horseshoe walk in Ireland, the Glencoaghan horseshoe. These mountains have been sculpted by time and weather to produce some of the most impressive hiking in Ireland. Starting from near the Clifden road after Recess one quickly ascends to see unrivalled views of south Connemara including Ballynahinch Castle, Roundstone blanket bog, Cashel and Glynsk as they slowly extend outwards towards the mighty Atlantic Ocean. From Glengower one can see the Northern Bens, Cliften and Derryclare before returning back.
